A Time to Heal
A healing experience for
male survivors of sexual abuse
A Time to Heal
Support and healing for men facing the lingering effects
of sexual abuse from childhood or youth
July 10 to 12, 2026
Shenandoah Valley, Virginia
A Time to Heal is a new, experiential weekend intensive designed especially for men facing the lasting effects of sexual abuse in childhood or youth.
Together, we will co-create a safe, supportive space where men can engage in guided self-exploration, meaningful connection, and emotional healing related to unresolved experiences of sexual harm.
You’ll come away with more self-understanding and inner peace, and with less shame or self-blame. You’ll have the opportunity to reshape your internal narrative — developing a clearer, more compassionate understanding of how you have emerged from your past as a strong, resilient, and whole man: The hero of your own story.
A Time to Heal will be peer-led by men with extensive experience facilitating deep, emotionally focused healing work through Brothers Road. The program is offered in collaboration with Doug Carpenter, Psy.D., psychologist and author of Secret Shame: A Survivor’s Guide to Understanding Male Sexual Abuse and Male Sexual Development.
